Privacy Policy
The short version. Name More! does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. It has no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no cross-app tracking, and we never sell your data. We store an anonymous player account and your gameplay so the game works. You can delete all of it at any time, in the app or from this website.
1. Who we are
Name More! (listed in the app stores as “Name More! — Word Game”) is a mobile word game published by REPLACE_WITH_LEGAL_NAME, REPLACE_WITH_COUNTRY (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This policy covers the Name More! apps for iOS and Android and the website playnamemore.com.
2. Data we collect
Anonymous player account
When you first open the game, our server creates a random player ID. Your device keeps a random sign-in credential in its secure storage (the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore) so it can prove it owns that player ID. We store only a one-way hash of that credential. We use Google Firebase Authentication to create and secure this anonymous sign-in, which gives your account a random Firebase user ID. You do not give us an email address, phone number, or password.
Gameplay data
- The boards and rounds you play, scores, the answers you found and in what order, hints used, and timestamps.
- Progress: experience, level, streaks, achievements, and your balance and history of in-game Tokens.
- Multiplayer participation: which daily, quick-match, and friend rooms you joined, and the results.
The answers you type
Every guess you submit, right or wrong, is sent to our server and stored exactly as typed. The server decides whether it matches an answer. We use these submissions to run the game, to calculate how rare each answer is, and to improve answer matching (for example, to learn common spellings). Please do not type personal information into the game.
Device and technical data
- Your device language, which we use to pick the content language.
- Your IP address and basic request information (time, requested address, app version, and browser or device type). These are processed by our servers and by Cloudflare to deliver the service and protect it from abuse.
Apple Game Center and Google Play Games
If you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the app reports achievement unlocks to that service so they appear on your platform profile. Apple and Google handle that data under their own privacy policies. We receive no personal data from them.
When you contact us
If you email us or use the deletion form, we receive what you send: your email address, your message, and any account reference you include. We use this only to answer you or to carry out your request.
3. Data we do not collect
- No name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, date of birth, or postal address.
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA or AAID), no advertising SDKs, and no ads in the current version.
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No payment information. The current version has no in-app purchases, and Tokens are earned by playing.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
5. What other players see
On leaderboards and in live matches, other players see an automatically generated handle (an adjective, an animal, and a short code), your scores, and the answers you claimed, shown by their official name. They never see what you actually typed. The game has no chat, no messaging, and no uploads, so you do not share content with other players.
6. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use these providers to run the service. They process data only on our instructions.
- Server hosting provider: hosts our servers and database.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: network delivery, DDoS protection, and security filtering (IP address and request data).
- Google (Firebase Authentication): anonymous account sign-in (Firebase user ID and technical sign-in data).
- Apple and Google: app distribution, and Game Center / Play Games achievements if you use them.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of players or the service, or as part of a merger or sale of the game, in which case this policy continues to apply.
International transfers. Some providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Account, gameplay, and typed answers: kept while your account exists, and deleted when you delete your account.
- Server and security logs: kept for up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Support emails: kept for up to 12 months after your request is resolved.
- Deletion requests: a minimal record of the request (the reference you entered, any note, its status, and dates) is kept so we can show that the request was honored.
- Aggregate statistics: after deletion, answer rarity percentages and matching rules learned from all players' guesses may remain. They are not linked to you or any account.
8. Delete your data
You can delete your account and all data linked to it at any time. It cannot be undone.
- In the app (immediate): open Name More!, go to Privacy & data, and choose Delete my data.
- Without the app: use the form on our account deletion page, or email privacy@playnamemore.com.
Deleting your account removes your player account, progress, achievements, Tokens, run and match history, and every answer you submitted. Uninstalling the app does not delete your data on our servers.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To use these rights, email privacy@playnamemore.com. Include your account reference, shown in the app under Privacy & data. Because accounts are anonymous, that reference is how we find your data. We answer within one month. We never sell or “share” personal data as defined by California law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Name More! is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, contact us and we will delete the account.
11. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Sign-in credentials are stored only as one-way hashes. Access to our servers is restricted, and the database is backed up in encrypted form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding optional accounts, notifications, ads, or purchases, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. For material changes we will also notify you in the app.
